About Artist:
When Lisa's mom went back to work after Lisa was born, Lisa's grandma and her uncle, Brian babysat her. Brian had a massive stroke 2 months after her 2nd birthday. Since then, she has been resilient, spending hours on the road to and from the hospital, inpatient rehab unit and nursing home. To keep a 2 year old occupied in these settings, Lisa did a lot of drawing. She and Uncle Brian (who lost the entire use of his right arm, leg and face as well as his speech) had/have a special bond. This has been a challenging time for Lisa because she misses him at home and being able to play with her. She dedicates her drawing to Uncle Brian.
